Georgia teens need a 30-hour course to get a Class D license at 16 under Joshua's Law. Every course below is on the state's virtual provider list, cheapest first.

Practice driving
40 hours of supervised driving, 6 of them at night.

What to do, in order

  1. Finish a 30-hour course from a DDS-certified provider (online is fine).
  2. Complete the behind-the-wheel part: 6 hours with a DDS-certified instructor, or 40 hours with a parent using the state's Parent/Teen Driving Guide.
