Supervised driving log ·
This browser isn't letting the log save (private browsing or storage turned off). Drives you add will be lost when you leave. Use a normal browser window, or back up after each drive.
On iPhone or iPad: Safari erases a website's saved data if you don't visit it for 7 days. To keep your log, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen, and open the log from that icon. Keep a backup too.
Time to back up your log. Your log is saved only on this device. A backup protects it if browser data is cleared.

Back up and restore
Your log lives only in this browser on this device. Save a backup file regularly and keep it somewhere safe; you can restore it on any phone or computer.
Keeping your log safe
This log is private by design: it isn't sent to us or anyone else. That also means only you can keep it safe. What can erase it, and how to protect it:
- Clearing "cookies and site data" deletes the log. Clearing only your browser's cache ("cached images and files") does not. If you ever clear browsing data, back up first.
- iPhone and iPad (Safari) erase a website's saved data after 7 days without a visit. Add the log to your Home Screen (Share → Add to Home Screen) and open it from that icon; home-screen apps aren't affected.
- Private or incognito windows lose everything when closed. Use a normal browser window.
- Each device and browser has its own copy. A log started on a phone won't appear on a laptop or in a different browser. Pick one device, or move the log with a backup file.
- Back up regularly. Tap Back up my log after a few drives, or at least once a week; the page reminds you. On a phone you can send the file to yourself by email or text, or save it to iCloud or Google Drive.
- Keep the backup somewhere you won't lose it, like your email or a cloud drive, not just your downloads folder.
- Before getting a new phone, back up on the old one and restore on the new one.
- Print a copy near the end. Many states want a signed log or form; the printout is ready for a parent's signature.
This log helps you keep track; it isn't an official state form. Use your state's own form where one is required (for example Ohio's notarized Fifty-Hour Affidavit or Colorado's Drive Time Log Sheet), and check your state's rules for what counts as night driving.
